Play Structures and Equipment
Play Structures and equipment in Arbor Farms are permitted provided that:
- the structure or equipment is located in the rear of the house taking into consideration views from neighboring yards and noise that may be transmitted.
- the structure or equipment is not permanently installed (no concrete footings)
- if permanently installed you must request permission from the Architectural Review Committee Prior to construction. The Approval of any equipment does not endorse the safety of any equipment or structure.
- the structure or equipment is kept in good condition and surrounding landscaping is well maintained.
- the structure is not fully enclosed to create an environment conducive to nuisance animals (aka it cannot be a shed/outbuilding)
Basketball Hoops
Basketball hoops are permitted in Arbor Farms provided that:
- hoop and backboard must be made of fiberglass, plexiglass, or other similar material.
- the hoop and backboard is not attached to any house or garage
- if a pole is permanently installed (ie, cemented) to mount a backboard and hoop, it must be set back a minimum of 20 feet from the street curb.
- all portable hoops and poles are not blocking the sidewalks or placed in the street.
- all backboards and poles must be well maintained and free of rust.
